An awesome double headline show at the suitably awesome Monarch with Brooklyn duo Buke & Gase and New Zealand solo artist Bachelorette. Joining forces on the night Buke & Gase (formerly Gass) bring along their signature style of lofty albeit distressed indie rock, while Bachelorette aka Anabel Alpers inhabits the spaces around art pop and epic psych electronica. Together they’ll have us, in equal measure, jumping around the room spilling beer all over ourselves and stroking our beards and pondering musical influences and whether something that is easy to like can still be considered art. It’s not so much that the night will have a split personality at all, it’s just that it will almost be like it has two personalities.
